Each of southeastern Arizona's five seasons has its own appeal: the neotropical migrants of spring and the early summer dry season, the hummingbirds and butterflies of the late summer rainy season, southbound migrants and colorful foliage in fall, and the winter splendor of hundreds of raptors and thousands of Sandhill Cranes. SABO's schedule of walks, workshops, and other activities takes full advantage of the best birding and wildlife watching opportunities each season has to offer.Click on a listed event for additional information. The resulting page may open in a new window; when you're done, you can close the window and continue browsing the calendar. Special events are highlighted. < and > indicate multi-day programs or events.SABO's program schedule is subject to additions and cancellations. Reservations are required for workshops and Owl Prowls and recommended for all other activities except hummingbird banding sessions. All SABO activities are conducted with the welfare of the birds, other wildlife, and their habitats as the first priority. Group size may be limited to minimize impacts on fragile habitats and sensitive species. We do not use recordings to attract birds. SABO is permitted by the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management. For reservations or more information on any of these activities, please contact us. |
